If you have creative work, you don't have age or time.
- Louise Nevelson (1900 – 1988)
I studied Printmaking, Book Design and Art History and earned a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art from the Atlanta College of Art (now the Savannah College of Art and Design). After college, I relocated to Baltimore, MD and developed a background in teaching and administration. In 2003, I moved to California and advanced my skills in web development, studying multimedia at the City College of San Francisco and working for five years as a graphic designer with a major retailer in the Bay Area. Currently, I live in Sacramento, CA and work in Information Technology with the State government.
In my home studio, I create art that combines my passions and interests in animal advocacy and Latin culture, including refranes Méxicano - traditional Méxican proverbs. My mixed media pieces merge diversity, tradition and progress through unique text and images. In addition to my technical and creative careers, I support arts organizations in my community, participate in benefit shows and auctions, and volunteer with the animals (and people) at Farm Sanctuary in Orland, CA.
